On Thursday, October 1, at 10:00 a.m., the official opening of the 13th edition of the Holland Fisheries Event will take place on the first day of the trade show.
Right in the middle of the exhibition floor, we warmly welcome visitors and participants to a brief and inspiring opening ceremony. Featuring contributions from:

Data on Deck – Why Sharing Data Helps the Fishing Industry Move Forward
Data collection is already in full swing on board. But how do you ensure that this data actually benefits fishermen and the industry? In this presentation, we’ll show how we’re working toward a data-driven demersal fishery: from utilizing data on the vessel to securely sharing it with other parties.
We’ll discuss what we’ve learned in recent years, which practical applications show promise, and how the new “Data on Deck” project is taking this step toward practical implementation. We’ll focus on data sharing, control over one’s own data, and standards.
